BrownFlynn Circle of Ten

In 2006, ParkWorks was named one of the finalists in the BrownFlynn's Circle of Ten program. The Cleveland-based community relationship management firm, BrownFlynn initiated the Circle of Ten program to celebrate its 10th anniversary by finding the top 10 nonprofit organizations that “raise the bar everyday by demonstrating creativity, radiating enthusiasm and having true passion for their mission.” In particular, the selection criteria focused on organizations engaging the “next generation” of supporters.

The Ohio Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (OCASLA) 2005 Michael Zone Recreation Center

McKnight & Associates, in conjunction with ParkWorks, was awarded top honors from the OCASLA for their landscape architectural design associated with the Michael Zone Recreation Center Greenspace redesign.

National Catalyst for Urban Parks Award

ParkWorks was recognized by the Project for Public Spaces (PPS) and Metropolis Magazine as the winner of the prestigious “Catalyst for Urban Parks Award” given nationally as part of the Great Parks/Great Cities Awards held in conjunction with an urban parks conference commemorating the 150th anniversary of Central Park. In recognizing ParkWorks, PPS cited the organization's work on projects of varying scope - from low income neighborhoods to central downtown spaces, its ability to engage a multitude of project partners, its success in raising funds, and the unique leadership role that ParkWorks has played in rallying the community to recognize and support the value of urban parks and public spaces in Cleveland. Executive Director Ann Zoller accepted the award on behalf of the organization at the conference in New York in June 2003.

US Conference of Mayors

ParkWorks received in 2003 a City Livability Award from the US Conference of Mayors highlighting the organization's comprehensive partnership with the City on specific projects such as its Cleveland Parks Institute, School Grounds as Community Parks and Residential Vacant Lot programs.
