Park Programming
ParkWorks has long recognized the value of bringing arts organizations and individual professional artists to community greenspaces; allowing artists to interact directly with community members and helping neighborhood children understand the personal and social importance of the arts. In 2009, we will renew our partnerships with residents, local community development corporations and professional arts organizations to develop a schedule of events that are interesting and relevant to each neighborhood. We are excited to bring programming to an expanded scope of neighborhoods this season, including Slavic Village, North Broadway, Tremont, Ohio City, Detroit Shoreway and a newly added greenspace in Glenville. ParkArts activities are currently being scheduled; as the calendar is finalized we will post a complete list of events.
