The Plaza at Huron Point is intended
to specifically address the need to upgrade the northeast corner
of the high visibility, six-point intersection at East 9th &
Huron Roads, while responding to the general need to greatly improve
public right-of-way in and around Downtown.

The project represents collaboration between ParkWorks,
the Cleveland City Planning Commission, the City Department of Public
Service, Cleveland Public Art, the Historic Gateway Neighborhood
Corporation, the Osborn Limited Partnership, Kent State Urban Design
Center and the Cleveland Theater District.
A small but beautifully designed park that should
elevate design standards for public spaces downtown and demonstrate
the importance of street life and lively community places, The Plaza
at Huron Point will serve as a critical axis between the Gateway
and Theater Districts. The site will prove to be beneficial to the
new downtown residential and commercial units being created, as
well as to the thousands of workers and visitors who pass thru this
site on a daily basis.
