A Community Driven Process

To date two advisory committee meetings have been held. The first meeting was on April 19, 2005 with 15 attendees. The second advisory meeting was on August 9, 2005 with 15 attendees. In addition to the project partners, the advisory committee members are:

On the evening of May 2, 2005 a public meeting with 24 attendees provided valuable fedback. Another public meeting was held on October 18, 2005. The comments from the advisory committee meetings and the public meeting to date provided important considerations and ideas. Elements such as lighting, water features, stage location, public art, and safety have been incorpoated into the schematic designs as a result of the advisory and public comments.

We anticipate as the project moves forward that more public meetings will be announced -- we urge you to attend these meetings and join in on the planning for this important community space.
