ParkWorks' role within Cleveland's neighborhoods has continued to grow, focusing on greenspace development and programming neighborhood parks and community spaces.
Throughout our recent in history in the School Grounds as Community Parks program, park programming and our current partnership with Neighborhood Progress, Inc., we have developed an increased understanding of the unique needs of each neighborhood. Each summer, ParkWorks presents a vast and varied schedule of free events in three Cleveland neighborhoods. More than 80 individual events offer various artistic, musical and physical activities that are geared towards youth and family. Activities included mask making, theatrical and musical performances, movies, pizza parties, story telling, ice cream socials and scrap booking.
ParkWorks also supports the efforts of many other park friends groups to activate their public spaces, and offers programming expertise and funding support for key neighborhoods.
