From
June 1-August 15, the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District
in partnership with the Cleveland Metroparks offers annual
phonebook recycling for the entire county. The
campaign is timed to directly coincide with the delivery
of the new SBC phonebooks.
- Both residents and businesses are encouraged
to drop off their outdated phonebooks to one of the thirteen
recycling locations throughout the county.
-
For residents of the
City of Cleveland, a phonebook recycling dumpster is located
in the main entrance parking lot of the Metroparks Zoo.
Last year this dumpster contributed 14.89 tons of paper
to the county amount of 271.60 tons. That's over 181,000
phonebooks!
If you are interested in volunteering to keep
a phone book recycling bin neat and clean ("adopting"
a bin) for the 2006 campaign, please contact Cristie Snyder
at (216) 443-3749 or
csnyder@cuyahogacounty.us Scout groups, civic organizations,
